Mittie Jane Dalton, 72
Mittie Jane Dalton, a secretary of West Monroe, LA was born on January 25, 1942 and passed away on January 30, 2014. She was currently a member of Ouachita Baptist Church. She was formerly a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church of West Monroe for many years, and was their back up secretary and a member of the choir. She was a fun loving person always joking around and making people laugh. She loved “PePe”, her Chihuahua.
Funeral service will be 2:00p.m. Sunday at Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation 12:30p.m. – 2:00p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Monroe, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Services will be officiated by Brother Geis Sr., and assisting pastors will be Brother Jim Reid, and Brother Cecil Gregory.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie E. and Jesse Brantley.
She is survived by her husband of five years, Johnny Dalton of West Monroe, LA; daughter, Diane Gregory and husband Matt of Delhi, LA; son, Paul Morrison and wife Amy of West Monroe, LA; sister, Nell Morrison of West Monroe, LA; also survived by a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Randy Frost, James Chowns, Bill Shoemaker, Todd Atchinson, Hunter Martin, Cecil Shoeman, Eric Thibodeaux, Donnie Wade
Honorary Pallbearers will be Martin Thibodeaux, Buddy Wade Kenneth Redding
Special Thanks to Medistar Home Health and First Choice Hospice.
